The Holiday Season of 2021  once again came upon us with some uncertainty due to the ongoing annoying presence of COVID.  However, that did not stop the Christmas Spirit from shining thru, and people were out and about enjoying the festivities of the Tree Lighting Ceremony, along with visiting the small businesses along Hertel Ave to show support.  Hot Coco was handed out (thank you Dash’s for donating!),  carolers  were singing,  and Santa and Mrs Claus along with their elves paraded down the Avenue in their sleigh to be part of the Tree coming to life with lights. Once again, Buffalo shakes it up and throws us surprises with its weather and that was no different on the morning of our 1st Spooktacular Halloween event along blocks of Hertel Ave on October 30th, 2021!  Cold, rainy, misty, was the start of the day as the street was closed off and vendors were starting to show up to set up for a new event meant to be fun for adults, as well as the kids.  Closing the street off made it MUCH safer for the kids to walk around and the vendors enjoyed being set up in the street so folks...

We are happy to report that Mutt Strut 2021 was a fantastic event despite the cold wind and temperature changes thru the day. Many pooches and their folks walked up and down Hertel Avenue checking out the different shops and restaurants.  Thanks to Frandina Engineering, RollyPollies, Korona Jewelry, Studio Sophia, Craving Restaurant and Lexington Co-op for their creativity so pooches could stop in front of their respective establishments for a photo moment.  Hoping more businesses will do the same for our Mutt Strut next year!  Speaking of photo op moments, The Puppy Playpen had a great photo set up called “Pet Palooza” at the Antique Lamp Company.  The Cereal Spot gave out some adorable bandanas and had some...

What a wonderful Saturday it was in our North Buffalo neighborhood and along Hertel Avenue on April 24th.  This sun was shining, the day became warmer and the positive energy was everywhere as so many came out to partake in the annual Hertel Spring clean up event! From the Girl Scout troop, the Delaware Soccer Club,  the Nardin girls, St Joe’s boys, some of the small businesses, and the wonderful residents, the Avenue (and parking lots) were  cleaned, weeded and mulched to prepare for our summer season! This was by far our BIGGEST turnout and we are still in awe and so appreciative...
